STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) A fifth person has been arrested in connection with an ongoing embezzlement case concerning the Starkville Parks and Recreation Department.
On Friday, 38 year old Schronda Eddins of Columbus turned herself in to Starkville police on a felony warrant. The warrant was issued for embezzlement.
On December 29, 2017, Dianne Evans turned herself into Starkville police on the charge of embezzlement. She worked with the department as an administrative assistant. She is accused of embezzling $2,000.
According to affidavits acquired by the Starkville Daily News,
Peters conspired with Stevenson, Eddins, Evans and Watson to commit the crime of embezzlement of $21,702.50 during the period of January 2015 to November 2017.
Peters is accused of allowing and directing Stevenson, Eddins and Watson to be paid for more hours than they worked.
The affidavit states Watson embezzled $2,420 from June 2017 to November 2017 by signing for more hours than she worked. She worked with the department as a contractor.
