BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) Police say they still have a number of unanswered questions concerning a pair of crashes last night along Interstate 680 that left two people from Youngstown dead.

It happened in the northbound lanes between the Midlothian Boulevard exit and Shirley Road, under the Indianola Avenue overpass.

At this point, police believe that Colon was driving a white SUV that had crashed into the concrete median. Guntley was in another vehicle that had stopped to help those in the first crash.

Both were apparently standing on the side of the highway when a third vehicle crashed into the pedestrians.

The driver of that third car has not been identified, and no charges have been filed yet.

Police say if you in a crash, the best course is to stay in your car until help arrives. If you do get out, make sure you in a protected spot.

have to get something solid between you and ongoing traffic, said Youngstown Police Lt. Bill Ross.

Police said it could be some time before they able to collect all of the pieces of evidence in this fatal crash.
